September Student Events Recap
We had a great turn out at the SBMI Back to School event on September 5th. Students, faculty and staff mingled, ate pizza, played games and won prizes.
At the Student Inter Council Salutation on September 11th, UTHealth's student government (SIC) began the new school year by celebrating the students. Students enjoyed food and met the deans, the UTHealth Interim President, student government leaders and the UT System student regent, Ashley Purgason.

Keep Your Copyright! New Class Offered at the HAM-TMC Library
Did you know that when you sign a contract to publish an article in a journal, you often sign away your right to give copies to your students and colleagues and even the right to post a copy in your university’s online repository? Also, you may not even be able to access your own published work unless your university's library can afford to subscribe to that journal. There are easy ways to negotiate with your publisher to maintain some of your copyright before signing on the dotted line. This class will teach you the methods to gain more access to your works.
